As one of the principal employers in the area, Condino Mill works closely with the local community. Notably, the plant makes available its excess heat to deliver warm water to the Condino municipality for heating homes, civic buildings and the public swimming pool.

The mill is located in Trentino, a region known for championing green technologies. As well as supplying the local community with heat, Condino Mill plays its part through a strong commitment to sustainability initiatives such as repurposing sludge waste and reducing carbon emissions.

Condino Mill has long focused on innovation, from improving products to enhancing eco-efficiency. In 2018, the mill repurposed its fibre-rich sludge waste into thermal insulation panels, so reducing landfill use while providing a product with a valuable environmental benefit.

More about the mill

Glassine paper is Condino Mill’s main product, accounting for 75% of our output. This silicone base paper is used in self-adhesive applications such as tapes, labels and process liners. Other papers produced include supercalendered paper for flexible packing applications and the dye sublimation papers used in digital transfer printing. The grammage range runs between 40 and 200 g/m2.
