About Allentown Operations
Located in Pennsylvania, Sappi’s Allentown Facility has been a cornerstone of high-quality paper converting since its establishment in 1993. With the capacity to sheet and package 110,000 tons of paper annually, the site integrates advanced technology to maintain efficient and sustainable operations. The facility is equipped with three sheeters, carton and shrink wrap packaging lines, and additional converting support equipment, ensuring consistent and top-tier production.
Allentown stands out for its commitment to safety, being an OSHA Voluntary Protection Program site, with no OSHA recordable incidents since 2022 and eight years without lost time injuries. The facility also prides itself on its eco-effective operations, generating just one pound of waste for every ton of paper processed—well below industry standards for zero waste designations. This is achieved through innovative efforts to reuse, repurpose and recycle much of its industrial by-products.
