Financial Controlling Team Leader Opportunity – temporary replacement  

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead our Financial Controlling team in Sappi Cracow CoPE. This is your chance to play a pivotal role in optimizing controlling and reporting processes while driving team performance and innovation. Note that this is  "fixed-term” contract for maternity leave replacement.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Main Controlling Activities: Support and oversee processes such as financial performance reporting, inventory analysis, product costing, and variable cost variance analysis.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead and support financial budgeting and forecasting activities to ensure accurate and actionable insights.
  • Local Controlling Support: Partner with management and budget holders to interpret financial data, advise on business decisions, and suggest performance improvements.
  • Master Data Management: Ensure efficient handling of Controlling Master Data processes.
  • People Management:
    • Recruit, train, and guide team members to deliver high performance.
    • Conduct regular appraisals, set development plans, and foster a strong team spirit.
    • Motivate and coach team members to achieve their professional best.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Optimize processes for automation and leverage SAP functionalities.
    • Drive innovation and improvements in collaboration with internal and external teams.
  • Strategic Reporting & Problem Solving: Deliver precise reports to monitor task quality and productivity. Address and resolve challenges within the controlling domain effectively.

 

Your profile

  • A Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
  • 5+ years of experience in management accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Proven team management experience.
  • Advanced SAP knowledge and proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office tools.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Exceptional analytical abilities with a results-driven approach.
  • Fluency in English; additional European languages are a plus.

In Krakow office we work in a hybrid working model; as this position delivers high impact on-site, we expect you to be present in the office at least twice a week.
