As a Team Lead HR Operations in Austria, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and directing payroll procedures, ensuring compliance with laws and tax obligations, supervising the payroll team, and maintaining accurate payroll records. You will be joining our European HR Operations team, working on aligned and harmonized processes as well as continuous improvement practices across Europe.
Roles and responsibilities:
- You will supervise payroll operations and lead a team of 6 payroll specialists and oversee the daily operations to ensure high quality, efficient processes, and consistency and continuity in the team.
- You will ensure timely and accurate transfer into payroll using various internal systems and manage the administration of performance shares, lease bikes, bonus programs, etc.
- You will comply with Austrian labor laws as well as company policies and CLA’s by proactively staying on top of changes and ensuring implementation in Time and Payroll processes
- You will develop reporting functionalities, generate reports, analyze data, and provide insights to support the decision-making process
- You will have a mindset of Process improvements and continuously identify opportunities for process and systems improvements and implement best practices to streamline HR Operations
Required Qualifications:
- You have a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- You have proven experience in payroll /operations, with at least 3-5 years of supervisory experience.
- You have a strong knowledge of Austrian labor laws and regulations.
- You are proficient in HRIS and payroll systems – knowledge of SAP HR is a plus
- You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and German.
- You are detail-oriented and can identify inconsistencies in various contexts to carry out your job thoroughly with high accuracy.
- You have a strong organizational awareness and sensitivity to maintain confidentiality
- You communicate clearly and maintain positive professional relationships with all internal and external stakeholders
On-site & Flexible:
This position delivers the main impact on-site however you can occasionally work from home in alignment with your team.
